Decision Support
This application is intended to facilitate decision-making for bank protection and highlight ways in which technical-biological bank protection can be used in a variety of ways under a wide range of boundary conditions.
It is primarily intended to assist new hydraulic engineers who have little experience with technical-biological bank protection to make their selection and to provide additional ideas. Due to local differences, this decision Support cannot cover all circumstances, which is why care must be taken when using it to ensure that regional regulations and laws are complied with. With regard to technical-biological bank protection measures, Section 5 of the Climate Protection Act on the exemplary role of the public sector must also be taken into account.
This is the first version of the decision Support. If you have any feedback on its use, please do not hesitate to contact us. Due to its specific focus on the situation in German estuaries, the decision Support tool is currently only available in German.
