Monitoring
Recently there are neither design regulations nor principles of an ecological assessment for technical-biological bank protection measures applied at inland waterways. Therefore, the implementation of a monitoring to collect and record the technical and ecological efficiencies of those bank protection measures when in use is recommended at this stage.
Contents and requirements of such a monitoring program are shown in the following recommendations.
